PhD Scholarship Available

Are you interested in PhD research that will make a difference to global sustainability?

This PhD opportunity will enable the successful candidate to tackle important sustainability issues by developing approaches to track stocks of natural assets and directional environmental flows among countries using the United Nations’ System of Environmental Economic Accounting framework.

In doing so, you will have the opportunity to work with some of the World’s leading experts in ecosystem services and environmental economics and develop strong conceptual and analytical skills for solving globally important environmental challenges. You will also gain experience working with policy makers and developing skills for translating research

outcomes into impact.

This project will particularly suit people with strong quantitative skills and with a background in environmental economics, environmental sciences, sustainability, or related disciplines. The successful candidate will work with advisors at the University of Queensland and the University of Exeter and get to spend time in both locations.

The project comes with a tuition and living allowance scholarship funded through the QUEX Institute (https://global-engagement.uq.edu.au/quex) and is open to domestic and international students, but applicants must currently be located in Australia.

Apply through the online link under the project "Tracking Nature's Contribution to People for Sustainability" at https://scholarships.uq.edu.au/quex-uq-based-projects.
