Workshop on Advancing Private Land Conservation

We recently held a workshop on Ballina, NSW for an ARC Linkage Project focussed on private land conservation under climate change. This was an exciting opportunity to hear from Brooke Williams on spatial prioritisation of conservation investments, from Frankie Cho on dealing with uncertainty in private land conservation, from Yi Fei Chung on modelling the effect of extreme weather events on koalas, from Nanda Budhathoki on a survey to assess landholder responses to climate change, and from Shu Chen on analysing communication strategies for private land conservation. It was also great to build on the co-development of this research with our projects partners: NSW Department of Planning and Environment, The Biodiversity Conservation Trust, and Tweed Shire Council. We're now looking forward to cracking on with the next stages of the project, so watch this space!
